Please join City of Milwaukee and Waukesha County staff as they provide an overview of their 2023 MRF fire. This presentation will include a summary of the fire event, discussion about managing recyclable material in a region with reduced processing capacity, key messaging and communications as well as next steps and lessons learned. Finally, the DNR will provide attendees with key regulatory information and resources to consider for MRFs that may be impacted by a fire.
